About SOPHIA
Sophia Allen joined InfoLawGroup in November 2022. Sophia focuses her practice on marketing and advertising issues and advises clients on a broad variety of matters including claim substantiation and pricing guidelines. She leverages her experience in graphic design and marketing to identify pressing industry issues like deceptive design practices and dark patterns in user experience (UX) design. Sophia also reviews ad copy including in highly regulated industries such as real-money gaming. She counsels clients on marketing issues, such as rules for sweepstakes and contests and media releases.
While at Loyola University Chicago School of Law, Sophia developed a strong interest in alternative dispute resolution, pursuing coursework in Negotiations, Mediation, and Client Counseling. She taught Legal Writing to first-year law students and served as a senior editor for the Consumer Law Review.
Finally, Sophia appreciates the entirety of the legal process and has experience in its many phases. As a legal assistant, she learned about the intricacies of pre-litigation, including record review and case management. As a law clerk, she dug deep into discovery and drafted pleadings. As a volunteer mediator, Sophia navigated disputes and facilitated communication. Sophia’s experience with litigation has greatly shaped her understanding of transactional work.

Advises clients on various claim substantiation issues, including intricate FTC requirements for “Made in the USA” claims.
Analyzes copyright issues.
Helps enforce client trademark rights.
Advises clients regarding applicable state and Federal laws and regulations, including CAN-SPAM and the FTC Endorsement and Testimonial.
