Jennifer Coles joined InfoLawGroup in 2023 with over a dozen years of law firm experience specializing in trademarks and intellectual property. She focuses on trademark portfolio management, prosecution, and matters filed before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB).
Jennifer has filed hundreds of U.S. trademark and service mark applications and managed the prosecution of U.S. and foreign trademark applications for global brands. Her experience extends to copyrights and aspects of patent prosecution. Further she has experience conducting research, clearance searches, drafting applications, managing appeals, preparing documents and providing status reports to clients and foreign counsel, and communicating with clients on a regular basis.
Manages all aspects of domestic and foreign trademark prosecution for large global brands including drafting and recording powers of attorney, assignments, mergers, renewals, and new filings.
Assists with use investigations, preliminary trademark searches, domain name searches, and related clearance research utilizing Saegis, TESS, and internet search engines to determine trademark coverage and availability. Assists with analyzing and summarizing clearance search results.
Prepares and files U.S. trademark applications and prosecution related documents, extension requests, statements of use, declarations of use, renewal, and maintenance documents.
Reviews new applications, prosecution and maintenance documents prepared by foreign counsel, and communicates regularly with foreign counsel to monitor status.
Focuses on day-to-day management and providing clients with status reports of all intellectual property matters and projects. Coordinates regular reporting and meetings with clients to discuss their intellectual property portfolios.
Has worked with clients in various industries, including food, pharmaceuticals, fashion, sports, entertainment, Television, and banking.
Has filed hundreds of U.S. and foreign trademark and service mark applications and extensions of protection for global brands.
