About DHara
Dhara joined InfoLawGroup in 2022 from Sheppard Mullin LLP’s data privacy team. Dhara focuses her practice on data privacy and cybersecurity law, with an emphasis on comprehensive data privacy laws, including domestically the CPRA and other state-specific laws as well as internationally EU-GDPR and UK-GDPR. Dhara’s proficiency with a wide range of programming languages allows her to engage with clients’ in-house legal and operational teams to identify and handle the legal aspects of highly technical issues - while simultaneously meeting business objectives and protecting consumer privacy interests. She is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (“IAPP”) and is a certified Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional (AIGP).
REPRESENTATIVE Experience
Counsels clients on global data privacy compliance, including the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), Colorado Privacy Act (CPA), Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), Utah Consumer Privacy Act (UCPA), Connecticut Data Protection Act (CTDPA), the General Data Protection Regulation (EU-GDPR and UK-GDPR), and similar laws regulating the collection, use, and handling of data and personal information.
Drafts Privacy Policies, data-processing agreements (DPAs), and consumer-facing disclaimers.
Supports in-house teams to operationalize full privacy-cycle compliance, including data mapping, data-subject requests, and internal privacy trainings.
Advises clients on tactics and strategies to respond to security breach incidents.
Drafts and negotiates data-use provisions and data-processing agreements.
Counsels on and drafts sweepstakes, promotions, and related rules.
Assists clients with implementing complex and evolving technologies, such as blockchain, biometrics, and artificial intelligence (AI), into their services and products while ensuring compliance with applicable privacy and security laws.
Proficient in object-oriented programming languages, including C# and Java.Experience. As an SQL developer, sample work includes creating databases for logistics and operations management.
